Prof. Nurul Taufiqu Rochman is a senior figure who has contributed to developing research and commercialization of nanotechnology in Indonesia.

After completing his studies from bachelor’s to doctoral degree, and working for 14 years in Japan, Prof. Nurul returned to Indonesia in 2004 to apply his knowledge to the science and technology development in Indonesia. In 2005, Prof. Nurul founded the Indonesian Nano community which became the forerunner of the nanotechnology ecosystem in Indonesia until now.

For his services to develop and popularize Nanotechnology in Indonesia, he gets various awards such as Habibie Award, an extraordinary intellectual property award (AKIL), WIPO Award, and others. Prof. Nurul aspires to bring PT. NIG as an Indonesia-based technology company that can compete in global market.
